Former Arkansas Razorbacks running back Darren McFadden was selected with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. He made an immediate impact in the silver-and-black’s rushing attack and continued his backfield pursuits by racking up 357 rushing yards and 245 receiving yards over 12 games in 2009. One of those contests occurred against the Denver Broncos on Dec. 20 in the Mile High City. The Raiders beat the host Broncos, 20-19, and McFadden tallied 74 rushing yards on 12 carries including a 28-yard scamper. This lot includes McFadden’s game-worn Oakland Raiders road jersey from that particular game.
The white mesh Reebok jersey (size 44) shows considerable pounding with prominent grass stains, dirt marks, sweat stains and paint transfers throughout from various on-field collisions, which can be photo-matched. The jersey has a "09-44" swatch on the inside rear collar, while a "Reebok [size] 44" tag remains in the left front tail with an attached flag tag reading "4" L.B." The official NFL logo shield patch appears at the base of the jersey's v-neck area. In addition, a special Raiders "1960-2009 Commitment to Excellence" embroidered black, white and silver patch is stitched above the left breast. “McFADDEN” is stitched in black tackle twill across the back nameplate and his uniform number “20” also appears in black tackle twill outlined in silver on the front, back and both sleeves. The official Reebok patch appears on both sleeves right above McFadden's uniform number. Some fraying of the jersey's nameplate is evident. The game use reflected by the jersey's current condition shows McFadden could take a hit and keep on trucking. This jersey hails from the esteemed Delbert Mickel Estate Collection.
Includes Certificate of Authenticity from the Oakland Raiders' equipment manager.
