Super Bowl XXXIV was played on January 30, 2000 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The NFC champion St. Louis Rams defeated the AFC champion Tennessee Titans 23-16 in classic game that came down to the final seconds. Ultimately, the “Greatest Show on Turf” led by Rams MVP quarterback Kurt Warner was too much for the Titans whose “Music City Miracle” win over Buffalo three weeks earlier propelled them all the way to the big game. Ironically, the head coach of that Titans team, Jeff Fisher, is now the coach of the Los Angeles Rams.
Offered here is an original Lombardi trophy issued to a limited number of key St. Louis Rams staff member. It was the Rams' first Super Bowl win and their first NFL Championship since 1951. The trophy is the exact same size (16” tall) and weight (8 lbs.) as those issued to players. It is inscribed on the neck "Vince Lombardi Trophy - Super Bowl XXXIV Champions - The St. Louis Rams” with a raised NFL shield logo in the middle. Trophy remains in outstanding condition with light handling. Engraved on the lower back “308 of 400”. Presented to all players and staff by longtime Rams owner, Georgia Frontiere.
