Before he was an All-Pro linebacker for the San Diego Chargers, late Hall of Famer Junior Seau was a defensive standout for the USC Trojans. In fact, during his final season at USC in 1989, Seau was named the team’s MVP and Player of the Year. It was a campaign that saw Seau record 19 sacks en route to a unanimous first-team All-American selection, and the Trojans post a 9-2-1 overall record and secure the Pac-10 title as well as win the coveted Rose Bowl by defeating Michigan, 17-10.

This lot features Seau’s USC Team MVP trophy, which stands 14.5” tall and weighs just over six pounds. Sporting a two-tiered, black and brown wood base, the front of the trophy features an engraved Trojan red nameplate that reads: “UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MVP (TEAM) PLAYER OF THE YEAR JUNIOR SEAU 1989.” The top of the trophy boasts a solid brass football player that stretches 10.5” tall.
