The 1972 Topps Football set was the first gridiron issue to feature Leader cards and Pro Action cards, with further claim to fame being the inclusion of the inaugural singles of Roger Staubach, John Riggins and Ted Hendricks. It also showcases the last card of Gale Sayers and is the final vintage Topps football set to be released in a series.
