The late NFL legend George Blanda received this strikingly beautiful lifetime achievement trophy at the 13th annual Victor Awards in 1979. The Oscar-looking trophy weighs 13.5 lbs. and stands 19.5" tall with a 6" diameter base. Victor Awards are presented by the National Academy of Sports Editors and Broadcasters to the nation's most outstanding professional and amateur athletes and coaches. This one honored Blanda as Sport Illustrated's best male athlete over the past 25 years, one well-deserved for the quarterback and placekicker who lasted longer in the NFL than any player before or since.

The marble-based trophy features a 16-inch brass-plated figure with his right arm raised clenching leaves of laurel. The base of the trophy features a brass plate engraved with "SPECIAL AWARD VICTOR'S XIII CEREMONY - SPORTSMAN'S CLUB CITY OF HOPE - SPORTS ILLUSTRATED'S 25TH ANNIVERSARY AWARD - FOR BEST MALE ATHLETE OF THE PAST QUARTER CENTURY - TO GEORGE BLANDA." The trophy remains in great shape overall with just a minor crack in the die-cast to the raised right hand.

LOA from the widow of George Blanda.
