The Green Bay Packers were a team transformed from 1-10-1 in 1959, the worst in team history, to a team battling in the NFL Championship Game just a year later under the tutelage of first-year head coach Vince Lombardi. Under Lombardi's guidance, the Packers went on to win the NFL championship in both 1961 and ’62, defeating the New York Giants in both title games. The back-to-back victories marked the first two of five titles in Lombardi's seven years at the helm. During his tenure, he led the team to a 98-30-4 record and three straight NFL titles from 1965 to 1967. Green Bay, in fact, never suffered a losing season under the Hall of Fame coach.

This lot features a beautifully designed Green Bay Packers 14K gold & diamond pendant that was issued to Vince Lombardi's wife, Marie. The front of the gold pendant, which stretches 1 3/8" across, is raised green enamel with gold lettering that reads "GREEN BAY PACKERS WORLD CHAMPIONS" with a large real diamond perfectly placed in the center of the team's logo. The outer edges of the pendant sport a laurel wreath design and includes a clasp just waiting for a necklace to be attached. The back of the pendant is engraved "JM 14K."

Comes directly from the Lombardi family with a letter signed by his son, Vince Lombardi Jr.
