Kyrie Irving is the playmaking, sharpshooting point guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Last season, he and teammate LeBron James led the Cavs to their first NBA title in history, climbing back from a three-games-to-one deficit in the NBA Finals to defeat the Golden State Warriors in seven games. On their way to the championship, the Cavaliers defeated the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference Finals, four games to two. During that six-game battle, Irving set the tone with a fabulous outing in Game 1 on May 17, 2016, by scoring a game-high 27 points and dishing out five assists in the Cavs' 115-84 victory at the Q.
This lot features the actual jersey Irving was wearing during that decisive win in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The white polyester, size XL2 mesh jersey includes proper tagging on the left front tail including the Adidas climacool manufacturer's tag (size XL) with a flag tag reading "Length +2". Adjacent to the manufacturer's tag is a special NBA Authentics tag reading "CCA04067." On the bottom of the left front tail, sewn on upside down so the player can read it as he's tucking in his jersey, is a reminder mantra wine tag the Cavs used last season that reads: "All for one. One for all." The front of the jersey reads "CAVALIERS" across the front in wine tackle twill letters sewn directly onto the jersey in semi-circular fashion. Beneath that centered prominently is Irving's uniform number "2" in wine tackle twill outlined in white. The collar and two tank-top sleeves are sporting Cleveland's trademark wine-and-gold stripes. The back of the jersey includes "IRVING" in wine tackle twill letters across the shoulders with the official NBA embroidered patch above his name and his uniform number in wine tackle twill outlined in white just below it.
Irving has autographed the back in a black marker that has smeared a bit due to the sweaty condition in which it was signed. The shirt exhibits excellent wear with a nice reminder of Kyrie's body odor from the game. The jersey was obtained through an impeccable NBA source (must remain
anonymous) who attests to Irving signing it in person. It can be
photo-matched to several Getty images. A truly special playoff gamer to own from
"Uncle Drew" and the Cavs’ magical “Believeland” title run.
Includes LOA from Resolution Photomatching with a conclusive
high-resolution side-by-side photo-match from the 5/17/16 game.
