In 2016, the Cleveland Cavaliers led by LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love and company, won the NBA Finals 4 Games to 3 over the Golden State Warriors, erasing a 3-1 series deficit against the team that set a record for wins in the regular season at 73. In the process, the Cavs broke a 52-year championship dought for the city of Cleveland. This offered basketball was part of history as it was used June 16, 2016 in Game 6 of The Finals at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, when the Cavs defeated the Warriors 115-101 to tie the series at three games apiece thanks in large part to the Herculean effort from LeBron: 41 points, 11 assists, 8 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 blocks. How's that for a stat-line!
The Spalding (Adam Silver) Official NBA Game Ball is specially stamped "The Finals 2016" with an image of the Larry O'Brien Trophy on one panel. Another panel is stamped "“Cavaliers 2015-16 Game Ball” with "G6" marked in black Sharpie. Another unique marking in black pen "XXX" appears below one of the large NBA logos. The ball displays solid game use with some scuffing, but comes otherwise as-issued. A phenomenal piece of basketball history marking a long-awaited championship for “Believeland."
