Now a member of the Los Angeles Clippers, Marreese Speights played a key role off the bench for the Golden State Warriors in his three previous seasons. With the instant offense provided by the 6' 10" silky-smooth shooter known as "Mo Buckets", the Warriors were 2015 World Champions and followed that up with the record for wins during the regular season. Featured here is the Speights' game-worn home playoff jersey from Golden State’s 104-78 victory over the visiting Houston Rockets in Game 1 of their 2016 Western Conference opening series, played on April 16 at Oracle Arena. Speights contributed 12 points and five rebounds off the bench to help the cause. The Warriors swept the series and made it all the way to Game 7 of the Finals. Oh so close to a repeat.
The white mesh jersey sports a large blue Golden State Warriors team crest that is chain-stitched to the front with Speights’s No. “5” appearing in gold at center next to the Bay Bridge silhouette. An arched "SPEIGHTS" is sewn directly onto the shirt across the upper back with a large No. “5” below, both coming in blue tackle twill. Above the player name is the official NBA embroidered logo patch. The neck has blue and gold trim; the arms have just blue trim. On the front left tail is the proper “Adidas climacool size 3XL” manufacturer's tag and a LENGTH +4” flag tag. Hand-written in black marker is "4-16-16" on the player ID panel. Adjacent is the official NBA authentication code "GWA 03990." The left inseam has a size “3XL4” materials tag with washing instructions and another Adidas tag that reads "09/15 AY9590 AZB012." On the inside of the rear collar is a size "3XL4" tag positioned just below a sewn-in gold-colored tag with "4X" and a Larry O'Brien trophy rendition.
