Here's a great early career Chris Paul New Orleans Hornets road jersey game-worn during the 2007-08 season, his third in the NBA. It is documented from the previous owner as having been worn on November 7, 2007, against the Portland Trailblazers. The Hornets fell 93-90 to the Blazers at the Rose Garden that night, but Paul stuffed the stats book in typical fashion with 18 points, 12 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Arguably the top pure point guard in the league, Paul was named 2005-06 NBA Rookie of the Year, has two Olympic gold medals, and has led the NBA in assists four times and steals six times. He has been selected to nine All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams, and six All-Defensive teams. His career averages stand at 18.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 9.9 assists, and 2.3 steals per game. Paul had perhaps his best season as a pro in 2007-08, as he averaged 21.1 points and led the NBA with 11.6 assists (career high) and 2.7 steals. He finished second in the league MVP voting behind Kobe Bryant. The Hornets finished with a terrific 56-26 record and eventually succumbed to the Spurs in the Western Conference Semifinals.

The teal jersey has "NEW ORLEANS" in white-on-purple-on orange tackle twill across the front, with his No. "3" in the same format front and back. "PAUL" is sewn directly across the back in white tackle twill. The shirt has Hornets color striping down the elastic sides with an embroidered Hornets logo on the right upper chest. The NBA embroidered logo appears on the left upper chest and an embroidered "H" is just below the front collar. Jersey has appropriate Adidas Size 44 tagging with "+2 Length" and "2007-2008" flag tags on the front left tail. Shirt displays light-to-moderate wear with stretching in the elastic sides. It was originally given by Chris Paul to a Portland fan as part of a special meet-and-greet program. Attached are photos of the lucky fun with Paul outside the visiting locker room right after the game.
