Nice pair of Chris Paul game-worn shoes form the 2013-14 season with the Los Angeles Clippers. Arguably the top point guard in the league, Paul was named 2005-06 NBA Rookie of the Year, has two Olympic gold medals, and has led the NBA in assists four times and steals six times. He has been selected to nine All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams, and six All-Defensive teams. His career averages stand at 18.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 9.9 assists, and 2.3 steals per game. Paul averaged 19.1 points with a league leading 10.7 assists and 2.5 steals in 2013-14, leading the Clips to a 57-25 record and a playoff run that ended at the hands of Oklahoma City in the Western Conference Semifinals. "Chris Paul is the best leader in the NBA" according to Charles Barkley, and will likely be enshrined in Springfield someday.
These snazzy blue camouflage 'CP3.VII' colorways are Paul's seventh edition from the Nike Jordan brand. The lightweight low-tops have the Jordan brand logo embroidered at the heel with the creative "CP3" logo stamped on the tongues. The efficient design features several dozen air holes in the multi-colored blue pattern on the exterior for ventilation. Interior "PROMO SAMPLE" tagging properly indicates his size 12.5 and "SEASON H013" for player-sample status. The insoles are missing, having likely been removed for his own custom orthotics. The man they call "CP3" has signed each shoe in 8-9/10 black marker on the outer midsoles. The shoes display moderate wear with some scuffing on the toes.
The air holes on the right shoe appear to match (Getty 187922971) the shoes Paul wore on Nov. 9, 2013 in Houston, lining up perfectly with the camouflage pattern (the only difference being the different color laces which could easily have been switched out later). Paul had 14 points and 13 assists that night in the Clippers' win over the Rockets. On Dec. 26, 2013, Paul wore shoes with the exact style-match down to the blue laces (Getty 459483803).
