Following three years of retirement, NBA great Michael Jordan decided to return to the game he loved by joining ranks with the Washington Wizards in 2001. His final return to basketball lasted just two seasons as he hung up his Air Jordans for good following the 2002-2003 campaign. In his final season on the hardwood, the 39-year-old MJ averaged 20 points, 6.1 boards and 3.8 assists per game as the Wizards finished 37-45.  This lot features  Jordan's 2002-03 Washington Wizards game-worn road jersey from that farewell campaign.

The blue 100% polyester mesh jersey shows moderate use and includes proper identifiers on the left front tail such as the Nike manufacturer's tag [size 50] and boasts an affixed "LENGTH +4" tag indicating size modifications. Both Wizards and NBA Authentics tags are on either side of the Nike tag. The team name "WIZARDS" stretches across the front of the jersey in white tackle twill outlined in brown and black, with "JORDAN" in similar fashion across the shoulders on the back minus the black trim. His trademark uniform number "23" can be found on both sides of the jersey also in white tackle twill outlined in brown and black. Elastic blue, brown and black trim accents the dollar as well as both sleeves. The official NBA embroidered logo patch appears on the left shoulder. Some slight fraying of the numbers and letters is evident. What a special final season gamer from the greatest player to ever grace the hardcourt.

Includes letter from MEARS with grade of A5. [Note: Post-1988 jerseys without documentation of provenance only qualify for A5 rating per MEARS company policy.]
