In the early 1980's, Norm Nixon was playing alongside Magic Johnson for the Los Angeles Lakers. During the 1981-82 season, in fact, Nixon averaged 17.6 points and eight assists to help the Show Time crew post a 57-25 regular-season record to win the Western Conference's Western Division title. They then went on to win the NBA title by ousting the Philadelphia 76ers in six games in the NBA Finals.

This lot features Nixon's game worn Lakers home jersey from that time period. The yellow mesh jersey reads "Lakers" across the front in purple on white tackle twill and exhibits game use with noticeable fraying and puckering around the letters. The proper "Tiernan" manufacturer's tag exists on the front center tail. Nixon's uniform number "10" appears in like tackle twill fashion with fraying evident around the numerals. The back of the jersey includes "NIXON" arched across the shoulders in purple on white tackle followed below by his uniform number "10" in like fashion. Puckering is again present amongst the letters.
