The greatest recognition a baseball player can achieve is to be inducted into baseball’s Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. Of the roughly 20,000 who have played in the majors, only 312 have been judge worthy enough to considered the best of the best. In 2007 Tony Gwynn joined Ruth, Cobb, Gehrig, Williams, Mantle and all the other giants of the game by having his plaque placed in the gallery of the Hall of Fame. This monumental 11 3/4” x 11 3/4” acrylic display case holds a custom Rawlings fielder’s glove created especially for Gwynn’s Hall of Fame induction in 2007. The middle inside finger of the glove is signed by Mr. Padre who inscribed it proudly with “HOF 07”. The pocked has the Padres logo in gold with the legend “1 TEAM  25 YEARS”. “19/100” is written below. The front of the plexiglass case has the “Swinging’ Padre” logo with “Tony Gwynn #19  3,141 Hits  15-Time All-Star  5-Time Gold Glove  8-Time Batting Champion  .338 Lifetime Batting Average”. The piece shows light wear from age and displays impressively. Whole thing weighs 21 lbs. A great piece that celebrates the crowning moment of Tony Gwynn’s career.

Includes LOA from Alicia Gwynn.
