Half-way through the 1985 season Tony Gwynn was leading all N.L. hitters in average, so it was only natural that the fans voted the Padres star to start the All-Star Game in centerfield. This is the ring given to Gwynn for being a part of the Mid-Summer Classic (his 2nd of 15) and features a dark red stone with the MLB logo surrounded by “ALL STAR GAME” in raised letters. The left shank has logo of the 1985 game and the right has the date “1985” above crossed bats and a ball with “AMERICAN LEAGUE ALL STARS vs NATIONAL LEAGUE ALL STARS”. The inside of the size 9 1/2 ring is engraved with “#19 T. GWYNN” and "LGB GTC". Includes LOA from Alicia Gwynn.
