When one compiles a list of the top Yankees teams of all-time several jump right to the top: the 1927 club with Ruth and Gehrig, the ’36-’39 teams with Gehrig and DiMaggio, the 1996 squad with the Core Four, and of course the 1961 edition with Roger Maris and his record-breaking 61 home runs. 25 members of this historic 1961 club have signed this Reach Official American League Cronin ball in brilliant blue ballpoint pen ranging 5-8/10. Mantle and Downing are deemed clubhouse signed, but the other signatures are all beautifully authentic examples including home run king Roger Maris, Hall of Famers Whitey Ford and Yogi Berra plus regulars Elston Howard, Tony Kubek, Ralph Terry and Bill Stafford. The ball shows slight toning from age and the signatures, especially the Maris, just leap off this museum-quality ball.
