Even though the Babe had been retired for over a decade, he was still the greatest ball player of all-time, and that’s why the Exacta Watch Company introduced this "Sports Watch of Champions" with a smiling Bambino on the face. Back in 1948 it was every boy’s dream to own one of these Babe Ruth watches, and despite its hefty $7.95 price, the watch was extremely popular. Though they can be found today, these watches were usually worn by their proud owners until they fell apart and are hardly ever found in as pristine a condition as this one. To top off this already nicely preserved example, this watch comes with its original plastic baseball holding case. The white plastic has slight toning from age and its red printed graphics are crisp. The watch itself is in very good condition though the movement no longer works. The crystal has some light scuffing from age but does not obscure the Babe’s beaming mug on the watch face. The metal case and expanding wrist band remains bright and complete. A well preserved and complete example of this popular Babe Ruth endorsed watch.
