To appreciate the greatness of Kirby Puckett's 12-year career, all you had to see was 11 innings. They came in Game 6 of the 1991 World Series, perhaps the greatest World Series ever played. The Twins were behind in the series, 3-2, when Puckett almost single-handedly beat the Braves with one of the best one-game performances in postseason history. He hit the game-winning home run that sent the Twins to a 4-3 victory--it was his fourth hit and third RBI--and he made a fabulous leaping catch against the center-field fence in the third inning. The Twins carried the momentum into Game 7 to win the Series.

The offered uniform was worn by Minnesota Twins Hall of Famer Kirby Puckett during the club's 1991 World Championship season. The pinstriped home jersey has "Twins" lettered across the front with number "34" below. Number “34” also appears on back. The Twins "TC" logo patch is present on left sleeve, the "Family Tradition 30 (years)" patch is on right. "Rawlings" manufacturer's tag in collar notes the size "50" and there is an adjacent embroidered strip reading "91 5." Custom Velcro has been sewn between buttons in two places. The pants, also by Rawlings (size 41), have a lengthy strip tag which reads "91 5 41-42 26 34." Presumably, this denotes year, set number, size, inseam, and player. Each leg has material added to interior at shins. Strong usage and wash wear is evident throughout. Given its year of service and excellent usage traits, it’s hard to imagine a more ideal Puckett uniform in circulation.
