This Boggs gamer coincides with the years in which the Red Sox slugger won five batting crowns, beginning in 1983. During the summers he used this bat, Boggs’ average never dropped below .325 and never failed to hit more than 200 hits a season. The Louisville Slugger C235 model bat is un-cracked and displays outstanding game use. Many ball marks and stitch impressions are seen with blue ink transfers. There is the impression of a weighted batting donut on the barrel with cleat imprints. Green and blue bat rack paint streaks are visible and a light coat of pine tar is on the lower handle. Boggs’ number “26” is hand written on the knob in black marker.
LOA from PSA/DNA who graded this bat a GU 8.5.
