Skip Pitlock was a 6' 2" southpaw who played just three seasons in the majors. Featured here is Pitlock's 1974 Chicago White Sox game worn light blue home jersey from his 3-3 campaign in which he pitched a total of 105.2 innings and struck out 68 batters. Sewn across the chest of the highly sought after zipper front style jersey is "Chicago White Sox" in red and white tackle twill, while the back of the jersey and left sleeve are both affixed with his uniform number "26" in similar tackle twill fashion. Severe fading, fraying and puckering of the numerals and letters is quite evident. Inside the satin lined collar is a chain-stitched nameplate with "Pitlock" in blue thread, and on the left front tail is manufacturer's tagging from "Wilson [size] 42", with an additional "74 Set 1" chain-stitched plate below it. The jersey, which appears to have no alterations of any kind, reflects solid game use with some shrinkage evident through multiple washings.
