In 1968 the Astro hosted their first All-Star Game. Held in the then-revolutionary Astrodome, the game was the first ever Mid-Summer Classic played under a roof. As a reward for 10 key employees, Astros owner Judge Roy Hofheinz had both teams sign a specially produced photo display, one for each league. Each of the pieces feature an 8x10 color photograph of the game set in an 11” x 14” matte. The logo of Houston Astrodome is on the bottom center of the matte along with “ALL-STAR GAME 1968” in gold foil. 35 National League All-Stars have signed the matte including Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Johnny Bench, Steve Carlton, Tom Seaver, Willie McCovey, Ron Santo, Billy Williams and Bob Gibson.

The second matted piece has the signatures of 34 American League All-Stars including Mickey Mantle, Harmon Killebrew, Boog Powell, Carl Yastrzemski, Rod Carew and Brooks Robinson. Each star has signed in black felt tipped marker, which over the years has taken on a kind of golden tint to it. Each piece has edge wear and toning from age but display wonderfully.

Each photo includes full LOA from JSA. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
