But as a manager, he built dynasties in Cincinnati and then Detroit to earn a spot in Baseball's Hall of Fame. 2,194 wins, 5 National and American League Pennants, and 3 World Championships in 26 years. Half of those years his teams finished 1st or 2nd. Anderson ranks 6th all-time in wins by a manager. Presented here is Sparky’s 1957 contract to play for the Los Angeles Angels of the PCL. Awarding Anderson a salary of $900 for the season, the fully executed contract features two full name George L. Anderson signatures. Dated April 5, 1957. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
