The 1951 Bowman #305 baseball card of Willie Mays is the only recognized rookie card of this legendary Hall of Famer. In 1951, Mays started off the season slow, but finally broke out with a home run against fellow Hall of Famer Warren Spahn. He finished the season batting .274 and hitting 20 home runs and 68 RBI’s, giving fans a glimpse of what was to come in his long and mythical career. This lot is for a 1951 Bowman #305 Willie Mays rookie card that has been graded a PSA GOOD 2. The card exhibits a slightly out of focus image on front and general handling wear and creasing.
