Walt Alston managed the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers from 1954 to 1976, winning the World Series four times. Offered in this lot are (3) honorary plaques that were presented to Alston during his managing days. First a 1969 Good Guy Award (17” x 14”) presented to Alston on 2/8/69 by the  Los Angeles-Anaheim Chapter Baseball Writers Association of America. In NM/MINT condition set on cherry wood and depicting a large sketch of Alston’s face. Second a 1972 Los Angeles Dodgers Booster Club award commemorating Walt Alston Day at Dodger Stadium on April 23, 1972. Plaque measures 15” x 12” in NM/MINT condition and depicts a black and white photo of Alston on the field. Plaque reads “The “4th” Out - Presented to ‘The Skipper” Walt Alston - In Sincere Appreciation For Nineteen Great Seasons As Manager Of The Dodgers - Los Angeles Dodgers Booster Club - April 9, 1972”. Third is a 1976 plaque commemorating Alston’s 2000th big league win on July 17, 1976 (Dodgers 5 - Cubs 4). Set in matted wood and measuring (17.5” x 14”) in NM-MT condition.

Includes a letter of provenance from the Alston family.
