This stunning team-signed Brooklyn Dodgers baseball from the club's final season in the Borough of Brooklyn comes from the collection of the team's legendary manager, Walt Alston and marks an epochal moment in baseball history for the legion of Brooklyn baseball fans. With an aging ball club that had only recently suffered the retirement of their heart and soul, Jackie Robinson, the transfer of the rest of the Bums to Los Angeles was a sad day for tens of thousands of bewildered fans. Of such a history-making event comes this Official National League (Warren C. Giles) baseball, with a total of 26 immaculate signatures.

All have been applied in a gorgeous, uniform blue ballpoint pen, with the exception of Sandy Koufax and Charlie Neal appearing in red. With virtually no hint of the typical toning that afflicts older baseballs, the autographs appear incredibly bold and vivid against the striking white leather ball. The roster of signers includes: Alston on the sweet spot, Campanella, Snider, Reese, Koufax, Drysdale (rookie), Hodges, Furillo, Gilliam, Erskine, Podres, Zimmer, Neal, Craig, Jackson, Labine, Amoros, Roebuck, Bessent, McDevitt, Valo and others. The ball is entirely free from clubhouse signatures. This ball would grade exceptionally well, likely 9+/10 for both signature strength and ball condition.

Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Walter Alston Collection. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
