This lot features a pair of team-signed hockey sticks – one game-used and one game-issued – from both the 1988 USA Olympic Hockey team as well as the 1996 USA World Cup of Hockey team. The 1988 USA Olympic team-signed stick is Tony Granato’s game-used Sher-Wood “Feather-Glas” stick and boasts a total of 25 signatures in black marker from the team including Granato, Brian Leetch, Mike Richter, Kevin Miller, Scott Young, Chris Terreri, Scott Fusco, Stephen Leach, Todd Okerlund, Jeff Norton and Kevin Stevens. The second stick was game-issued to 1996 USA Team member Bill Guerin who represented the United States in the Olympics in 1998, 2002 and 2006, and participated in two Ice Hockey World Championships. Guerin is also the first player of Hispanic descent to ever play in the NHL. The Sher-Wood “Iron Carbon” hockey stick includes 23 signatures in black marker from members of the team including Tony Amonte, Chris Chelios, Pat Lafontaine, Brian Leetch, Brett Hull, Mike Modano, Derian Hatcher, Doug Weight and Gary Suter.

Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
