Stevie Francis was the crowd-pleasing, playmaking point guard from the University of Maryland who was taken with the second overall pick in the 1999 NBA Draft. Selected by the Houston Rockets, Francis went on to play nine seasons in the NBA including five with the Rockets, two with the Magic, one with the Knicks and then returning to Houston to close out his NBA career with the 2007-08 season.

Before he ascended to the ranks of the NBA, however, Francis spent three season in college playing for three different schools: San Jacinto (1996-97); Allegheny College (1997-98) and Maryland (1998-99). This lot features Francis’s game-worn jersey while competing for Allegany, where he averaged 22.7 points, 9.2 assists, 6.9 rebounds and 5.8 steals for the Trojans, who at one time were ranked second in the nation in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I poll. The jersey shows considerable wear with some noticeable stains on the front and back. The jersey screams “ALLEGANY” and “23” across the front in red ironed-on letters and numbers outlined in blue. The back of the jersey shows “FRANCIS” in blue ironed-on letters and his jersey number once again in red outlined in blue. The white jersey shows proper tagging on the left front tail with the “POWERS” manufacturing tag accompanied by strip tags reading “LONG” and “SIZE 50” with washing instructions behind the latter. Red, white and blue outlining appears on the V-neck area as well as both tank top openings. A great gamer from the early days of one of the NBA’s flashiest ball handlers in years!

Includes LOA from Steve Francis.
