Darrall Imhoff spent 12 seasons in the NBA from 1961 to ‘72, where he played for six different teams. Imhoff was the starting center for the New York Knicks and played for 20 minutes in the same 1962 game in which Wilt Chamberlain scored an NBA personal scoring record of 100 points for the Philadelphia Warriors. But this lot involves items from his playing days as a collegiate and Olympian standout. He was the leading scorer and rebounder on the 1960 NCAA runner-up Cal-Berkeley team and was a member of the gold medal-winning 1960 Olympic basketball team.

The 1960 Olympics Participant Pin measures approximately 3/4” x 5/8” and features the Olympic torch, the Olympic rings and “1960” in relief. The pin is affixed to a card that reads “GAMES OF THE XVIITH OLYMPIAD - 1960 - PARTICIPANT” along with the serial number “50489”. The pin is housed in its original “BERTONI MILANO” white leather case with the Olympic rings in gold on the front, MINT condition.
