In 2010, the Western Conference Champion Los Angeles Lakers squared off against the Eastern Conference Champion Boston Celtics in yet another epic NBA Finals. The matchup marked the first time the two NBA powerhouses met in the Finals since 1987. The Lakers, led by Kobe Bryant and coached by Phil Jackson, defeated the Celtics in seven games. It marked the Lakers’ 16th NBA title, second only to the Celtics’ 17 championships. Bryant, who averaged 28.6 points per game, was named the NBA Finals MVP.

Offered here is a 2010 Los Angeles Lakers NBA World Champions “A Version” ring that was presented to team scout Gary Boyson. The monstrous 16K gold, 74-gram, size 14 Jason of Beverly Hills ring is one of the most elaborate in NBA Championship history. Dominated by the glittering presence of a multitude of approximately 150 diamonds, the Lakers team name logo is raised in gold above a basketball shaped cluster of diamonds held together by gold laces with a pair of gold Larry O’Brien NBA trophies representative of the team’s back-to-back 2009 and 2010 titles on either side. Sixteen larger diamonds encircle the remaining perimeter of the ring’s bezel in recognition of the Lakers’ 16 NBA titles. The year “2009” is embossed in black at the top of the right shank above the name “BOYSON” which sits atop a gathering of engraved facsimile signatures of the Lakers 2009-2010 team with “Sweet Sixteen” engraved in black and gold at the bottom. The left shank contains “2010” embossed in black above the game scores of each post season series and a “2010 World Champions” NBA logo accompanied by the “83-79” final score of the championship-clinching seventh game of the Finals, with the Lakers “57-25” regular season record below. The ring is engraved with the manufacturer’s “JBH-M127” mark on the upper interior band and is adorned with a piece of the actual ball used during the seventh game of the NBA Finals in a glass-sealed window underneath its base. The ring remains in stellar condition and is an incredible piece of fine sports memorabilia honoring the Lakers’ latest title.
