The goaltender is the heart and soul of any ice hockey team. Games, division and conference titles, and Stanley Cup championships are usually won by the team with the best man between the pipes. This lot features three goalie sticks (two game-used and one game-used) belonging to three respected goaltenders in the annals of NHL history. The first game-used goalie stick comes from Ron Grahame, a solid shot stopper who played for three different teams (Boston Bruins, L.A. Kings and Quebec Nordiques) between 1973 and 1981. The old school Victoriaville “Pro Vic” model shows some game use with puck contact marks at the base. The second stick belonged to Brian Hayward who played for four different NHL teams from 1982 to ’93: Winnipeg Jets, Montreal Canadiens, Minnesota North Stars and San Jose Sharks. The blue CHIMO P.L.P.G. 555 model stick shows game use with plenty of tape throughout. The third goalie stick, which was game-issued, belonged to Jean-Sebastien Giguere during the 2001-02 season when he was minding the net for the then Mighty Duck of Anaheim. The black KOHO 500 model is stamped “J-S. Giguere Mar 2002.”

Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
