Offered here is a 1989-90 Grant Fuhr game-used goalie stick that is also team-signed by 18 members of his 1989-90 Stanley Cup Champion Edmonton Oilers. The Sher-Wood 'P.M.P.G' white-painted wood stick has "FUHR G. 31" stamped on the shaft and is properly taped on the upper handle and shaft. Legible are Fuhr, Chris Joseph, Norm Maciver, Kelly Buchberger, Craig MacTavish, Craig Simpson, Steve Smith, Mark Lamb, and Glenn Anderson. We are unable to identify 9 signatures. All autographs are done in 6-8/10 black marker. The stick shows light to moderate game use. Considered by many the greatest goaltender of all-time, Grant Fuhr had an injury-riddled 1989-90 campaign, getting an emergency appendectomy in training camp and then suffering a string of other injuries throughout the season. Yet, when it was all said and done, the Oilers persevered and won their fifth Stanley Cup and first without Gretzky.
Letter of Provenance from Newport Sports Museum. Autographs pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
