October 31, 1950 4 page handwritten letter on Brooklyn Dodger letterhead from Hall of Fame 1st baseman George Sisler to his son George Sisler, Jr. The main content of the letter seems to deal with Sisler's inability to get a raise from O'Malley and the Dodgers and the fact that his friend Branch Rickey has gone to Pittsburgh. At one point he asks his son "What would you do?" Later in the letter he goes into the various insurance policies he has so his son "...knows where everything is." He ends the letter by signing with his initials "GHS" in 8/10 looking vintage blue ink.
Sisler family LOA.
