Featured here is a Stanislav Chistov Anaheim Mighty Ducks game-worn rookie jersey from the 2002-2003 season in which the Ducks made it to their first Stanley Cup Finals. The Russian winger tallied 30 points in 79 regular season games and he played in all 21 playoff games, scoring 4 goals and dishing out 2 assists. The New Jersey Devils denied the Mighty Ducks their first cup in an epic 7-game series. Still, it was a remarkable run for the Ducks franchise that set the tone for a parabola of success in the coming years.
The purple CCM size 54 road jersey has the Mighty Ducks logo sewn on the front and both shoulders along with the 2003 Stanley Cup playoff patch crested over the right chest area. Chistov's #23 is sewn on both sleeves and on the back in white tackle twill with purple and teal piping. 'CHISTOV' on back is in white on a purple nameplate. There is also a KOHO brand logo patch sewn on the back above the letters. The jersey has a 2002-2003 MeiGray Group inventory tag (coded A08890 for authenticity verification) in the hem. It shows light game use with a few small slash marks on the sleeves.
Includes a Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
