Nice pair of trophies presented to Dodgers Hall of Fame right-hander Don Drysdale. First we have a June 1962 Player of the Month Award issued by the Dodger Booster Club. It stands 17" tall with a gold-colored baseball player at the top and a small figure of tow bats and a ball on the wooden base. The gold-colored nameplate reads "PLAYER OF THE MONTH AWARD - JUNE 1962 - DON DRYSDALE - DODGER BOOSTER CLUB." Big Don won the Major League Cy Young Award in 1962 with a 25-9 record , 2.83 ERA and 232 K's. He went 6-1 in seven June starts.
The second trophy is for 1965 Sportsman of the Year issued by the Encino Shrine Club. The wooden shield plaque, roughly 10.5" wide and 14" tall, has a gold-colored baseball player figurine attached at the bottom with a gold-colored nameplate that reads "DON DRYSDALE - SPORTSMAN OF THE YEAR - PRESENTED BY ENCINO SHRINE CLUB - JANUARY 28, 1966."
