This gorgeous photo originated from Hack Wilson's estate where it was kept in his personal 1930 George Burke photo album that Chicago Cubs players received. At some point, Hack took it out of the album to autograph and inscribe it for his good friend and chiropractor, Dr. R.M. Hill. Wilson, whose 1930 season stands as one of the greatest in baseball history when he slugged 56 home runs and drove in a still-record 191 runs, had many problems with his body due to being stricken with fetal alcohol syndrome. He became very close with Dr. Hill and gave the man numerous items from his personal collection over the years. This photo along with other items from the Hack Wilson estate were purchased in Maryland at an estate sale after Hill's only son passed away. Hack Wilson's George Burke personal photo album recently sold at auction for $7,170, but it was missing a key page and incredible photo from the book...this one. The 4" by 6" George Burke photograph of Wilson, circa 1930, is signed on the front in mostly 8-9/10 vintage blue ink "To My Good Friend Dr. R.M. Hill With Best Wishes Lewis "Hack" Wilson". The front of photo remains in outstanding condition for its age. The back has excess paper from album removal. To further validate its impeccable provenance, Dr. R.M. Hill's actual sign from his chiropractor office is included.

Autograph slabbed AUTHENTIC by PSA/DNA.
