On August 30, 2015, the visiting Chicago Cubs traveled to Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles and shut down the Blue Crew like nobody’s business. Cubs starter Jake Arrieta pitched a no-hitter as Chicago posted a 2-0 shutout. It was Arrieta’s 17th win of the season as he struck out 12 Dodgers along the way. Offered here is the 2015 Chicago Cubs road jersey worn by shortstop Addison Russell that day. Though he went 0-for-4 at the plate, Russell certainly helped protect Arrieta's famous gem with stellar defense in the field. The blue polyester, button-down jersey features the Cubs team logo patch across the left breast. The lower front tail includes all the proper Russell Athletic Majestic manufacturer’s tagging along with a size “48” tag. The Majestic “COOL BASE” strip tag is found on the left seam. The left jersey is adorned by a memorial number “14” patch that paid respects to Mr. Cub, Ernie Banks, who died on January 23, 2015. The right sleeve is adorned by an embroidered National League patch that shows ample signs of puckering. Russell’s arched last name stretches across the back of the jersey in red tackle twill outlined in white as does his uniform number “22” in similar fashion. The official MLB logo patch appears on the outside of the rear collar.
Includes MLB Authentication hologram (#JB 022454).
