1959 Hickok Award 10K Gold Belt Buckle presented to the 1959 World Series Most Valuable Player, Los Angeles Dodger relief pitcher Larry Sherry. In the Series Sherry won 2 games and Saved 2 others while giving up just 1 run in 12 2/3 innings over 4 games. Front has athlete at center of wreath crown of victory with "S RAE HICKOK AWARD PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE" with the initials "L. S." at the bottom. Inside back engraved "HICKOK CHAMPION OCTOBER 1959 LARRY SHERRY BASEBALL" and stamped "HICKOK USA 10K". Part of buckle that attaches to belt stamped "ZN-ALLOY". Comes in what looks like it could be the original plastic case. Belt buckle measures 1 1/8" by 1 5/8" and weighs 30 grams.
