Basketball Hall of Famer Dan Issel played his first six seasons in the NBA for the Kentucky Colonels (1970 to ’75) before joining forces with the NBA’s Denver Nuggets. The 6’ 9” center would play for the Nuggets for the rest of his career before hanging up his uniform following the 1984-85 campaign. Through 15 professional seasons, Issel tallied a total of 27,482 points and 11,133 rebounds. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1993.

This lot features Issel’s circa late 1970’s autographed and game-worn Denver Nuggets jersey. The white mesh jersey (size 48) shows considerable wear and includes the “Powers Manufacturing Co.” tag on the left front tail although the team name – “NUGGETS” – has been restored across the front. Issel’s jersey number “44” appears in faded blue tackle twill outlined in yellow on the front and back. A separate white mesh nameplate with tackle twill letters spelling out “ISSEL” appears sewn on the shoulders. Issel has signed the front of the jersey in blue fine-point marker although the signature has faded a bit over time.

Jersey has a JSA sticker with cert. # B95491. Autograph pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
