Rare 1949 St. Louis Cardinals phantom World Series Press pin features a newspaper like format with "ST LOUIS" at the top. "1949 WORLD SERIES" just below and a red & black enamel Cardinal head busting throw the paper at center. Pin measures about 7/8" by a little over 1". On the final game of the season the Dodgers had to go extra innings to beat the Phillies and finish one game ahead of the Cardinals for the National League pennant and a trip to the World Series. Comes with the original Balfour box.
