The late, great Johnny Unitas, the man who quarterbacked the Baltimore Colts over the New York Giants in the 1958 NFL title game – the game consider to be the greatest football game ever played – signed this official Wilson NFL football. His autograph appears in silver marker on the lower panel of the football. Unitas, who played for 17 season in the NFL, tallied career marks of 40,239 passing yards and threw 290 touchdowns. In Super Bowl IV, on January 17, 1971, he also completed three passes for 88 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown completion to John Mackey, to help the Colts defeat the Dallas Cowboys, 16-13. The autographed football comes complete with a nice acrylic display case that includes a specially engraved “JOHNNY UNITAS” nameplate on the front. The display case measures 12.5” wide by 9” high and 8” deep.
