In 1975, the Golden State Warriors, led by Rick Barry, won the organization’s first NBA title. This lot features a mid-to-late 1970’s Golden State Warriors game-worn shooting shirt worn by a player wearing uniform number 25. Based on our research, two possible candidates were Rickey Green, who played point guard for the Warriors during the 1977-78 season, or Tony Robertson, who played shooting guard for Golden State the following season. The gold half-zip shooting shirt is made of a dureen material and features “Warriors” across the left chest area embroidered in blue on yellow tackle twill. Just beneath that is the team’s old-school Native American Indian head dress embroidered in both yellow and blue on top of yellow tackle twill. Major puckering is evident. A sewn-on Wilson manufacturer’s tag [size 44] appears on the inside rear collar. On the left sleeve there is a Golden State Warriors embroidered patch that includes uniform number 25.
