Canadian Troy Loney broke into the NHL in 1983-84 with the Pittsburgh Penguins and played 12 seasons as a solid left wing. He was a member of the original 1993-94 Mighty Ducks expansion squad, and presented here is his game worn home jersey from their inaugural season. The white CCM jersey is tagged "INAUGURAL SEASON SET 2" inside the back tail. Inside the rear neck is a CCM Maska tag with a size 56 flag tag. The Mighty Ducks original team crest adorns the front, with Loney's No. "24" on the shoulders and back plus his captain's "C" patch on the left chest all in purple-on-white-on-teal tackle twill. "LONEY" is sewn in purple on a white nameplate on the back. The CCM and NHL logo patches are stitched on the back tail. On the left shoulder is the black "FGW" Disney patch honoring Walt Disney Company's president Frank G. Wells who died in a helicopter accident on April 3, 1994. The Mighty Ducks only wore this patch for the final five games of their inaugural 1993-94 season. The sweater shows outstanding game use, with six team repairs on the right sleeve and four more on the left, as well as numerous slash marks and rips on both sleeves. There is some fading in the teal section on the bottom most likely from sunlight when it was framed and displayed at the Newport Sports Museum for several years.

Includes Mighty Ducks team LOA signed by broadcaster Charlie Simmer. Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
