Teemu Selänne, aka "The Finnish Flash", broke into the NHL in 1992-93 with the Winnipeg Jets and played 22 marvelous seasons including 15 in Anaheim. Beloved to Ducks fans forever (his number 8 was retired last year), the left winger was a 10-time All-Star and had two long stints with the team, first from 1995-96 to 2000-01 and later from 2005-06 until his retirement. He is the highest scoring Finn in NHL history and one of the highest overall, finishing in 2013-14 ranked 11th all-time in goals (684) and 15th in points (1,457). He holds numerous team scoring records for both the Winnipeg/Arizona and Anaheim franchises. Presented here is his 1996-97 game worn road jersey and pair of game-ready gloves. Teemu tallied 109 points during the season with 51 goals and 58 assists to pace the Mighty Ducks offensive attack.

The purple and teal Nike jersey has team tagging that reads "1996-97 SET 2" inside the back tail. Inside the collar is a Nike size 54 tag with an NHL Center Ice Authentic Collection tag just below. Laundry instructions and another size 54 flag tag can be found inside the left inseam near the tail. The Mighty Ducks team crest adorns the front of the sweater, with Selanne's No. "8" on the sleeves and back in white-on-purple-on-teal tackle twill. "SELANNE" is sewn in white on a purple nameplate on the back. Mighty Ducks patches adorn both shoulders. The Nike Swoosh and NHL logo patches are stitched on the back tail. The jersey shows solid game use, with slash marks on the front team crest as well as more contact scratches/marks on the back letter and number. Selanne has signed the back number in 7-8/10 black Sharpie. The accompanying KOHO 'Revolution' gloves in Mighty Ducks team colors come in size L with "TEEMU SELANNE" stamped in white on both wrists. They appear game-ready with no visible signs of game use on the interior, only some minor darkening to the white exterior leather of the palms. Awesome game-worn pieces from a surefire Hall of Famer when he becomes eligible.

Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum. Autograph pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
