Offered here is a 2014 New York Yankees game-worn road jersey from the rookie season of Japanese stud pitcher Masahiro Tanaka. The 6'2" right-hander with an arsenal of nasty pitches took the American League by storm in his first MLB season by winning 11 of his first 12 decisions. After a mid-season stint on the disabled list, he finished his rookie campaign with a stellar 13-5 record and 2.77 ERA to go along with 141 K's in 136 innings. The year before he joined the Yankees, Tanaka set a NPB (Nippon Professional Baseball) record by going a perfect 30-0 including the postseason, something that has never been done in the Majors before either. On this July 8, 2014 game against the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field, Tanaka pitched 6 2/3 innings and gave up five runs as the Yanks lost 5-3.

The gray Cool Mesh button down has "NEW YORK" in dark blue on white tackle twill across the front with Tanaka's large "19" in the same form on back. Majestic Authentic tagging is sewn on front shirttail indicating size "52" with the "NEW YORK YANKEES" bar code sticker (0000004474) applied just below. Tanaka has signed on the back No. 9 in 8/10 silver felt tip pen. Jersey shows solid game use and comes essentially as-issued and problem-free. It also comes with every form of authentication imaginable.

MLB Authentication hologram (HZ 275522). Full LOA from Steiner Sports (212679) for game use. Full LOAs from PSA/DNA (Y08282) and JSA (Y52230) for autograph.
