Yadier Molina is widely considered the best defensive catcher in baseball. In 2015, the St. Louis Cardinals backstop batted .270 with 4 HR and 61 RBI to go along with his defensive prowess and earn a 7th straight All-Star selection and 8th consecutive Gold Glove. The Cardinals finished with 100 wins for their 3rd straight National League Central division crown. Featured here is Molina's 2015 game-worn road jersey courtesy of MLB Authentication. The Majestic 100% polyester jersey has Molina's last name in red chain-stitching sewn on the right front tail. On the left front tail is the Majestic manufacturer's tagging with a size 46 flag tag and "46 + 2 S 2015 S5" bar coding only found on game jerseys. MLB hologram and JSA certification stickers are affixed there. Molina's name on a back gray nameplate and No. 4 front and back all come in red-on-navy tackle twill. The left shoulder has the Cardinals team "OT" patch to honor young rising star outfielder Oscar Taveras who died tragically in a car accident at the end of 2014. Molina has signed the front number in 7-8/10 black marker. It should be noted that the MLB database attests to the jersey as being team-issued and received November 17, 2015. If MLB does not receive a game-used item within a 2-3 week window, they are required to call it "game/team issued" per their policy. The shirt displays excellent game use with heavy pilling in the right shoulder, likely from Molina making a few of his patented snap throws down to first hoping to catch a napping baserunner.
