Southpaw Sandy Koufax was nicknamed “The Left Arm of God” during his Hall of Fame pitching career with the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers. By the time he retired at the relatively young age of 30, he had 165 victories and 2,396 K’s to his credit. He even post four no-hitters! But perhaps more importantly than any of the personal statistics, Koufax had helped the Dodgers reach four World Series and win three of them: 1959, ’63 and ’65.
Offered here is a piece of original artwork celebrating Koufax by renowned sports artist Christopher Paluso. Measuring 24” wide by 18” high, it captures Koufax in four scenes from his brilliant, on-field career. The artwork is signed by Paluso in the bottom right corner and was utilized in the production of 1,000 limited-edition lithographs celebrating Sandy’s remarkable big league career in Dodger Blue.
