This game-used first base bag is from the April 6, 2014, game between the visiting New York Yankees and the host Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre. The season would be Yankees captain Derek Jeter’s last in the majors and this game held a significant milestone in Jeter’s career. Not only did Jeter go for 2-for-5 on the day to help the Bronx Bombers prevail, 6-4, but he eclipsed Hall of Famer Paul Molitor on MLB’s all-time hits list by registering his 3,320th career hit. The base, which includes its 5.5” metal post below it, is caked with dirt on the top and is clearly marked on each side with Toronto Blue Jays logos and markings. On two of the sides, in fact, it calls out “New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays” with added text reading: “OPENING WEEKEND APRIL 6, 2014.” The top of the base includes the raised “SCHUTT” manufacturer’s logo as well as the “MLB” and “Original Hollywood Bases Jack Corbett” logos.

Includes MLB Authentication hologram (#EK 815948).
