Bucky Dent is a two-time World Series champion shortstop and three-time All-Star, most notably with the New York Yankees. Dent's most famous Yankee moment came in Game 163 of the 1978 season, a one game playoff between the Bombers and Boston Red Sox. With all the star power in the contest, it was Dent who provided the big hit, a three-run homer over the Green Monster to give the Yankees a 3-2 lead, eventually winning the game 5-4 and breaking the hearts of Red Sox fans far and wide. Dent’s 34.75" long, 33.3 ounce Louisville Slugger 125 model baseball bat features his facsimile signature burned into the barrel end along with "R161" model number. At center is the bicentennial logo as used during the 1976 season. Dent’s jersey number "30" is written on the knob in period black marker. Bat appears uncracked with light to moderate evident usage wear. LOA from PSA/DNA (1B11251).
