In 1996, the American League Champion New York Yankees faced off in the World Series against the National League Champion Atlanta Braves. After dropping the first two games of the series, the Yankees, under the direction of first-year manager Joe Torre, came storming all the way back to win the Fall Classic in six games. This particular title also marked the first of five championships for the recently retired Derek Jeter with the Bronx Bombers. Presented here is a portion of red, white and blue bunting that hung at Yankee Stadium during the 1996 World Series. It measures nearly 30” high by 72” wide across the bottom.

Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
