The great Muhammad Ali is the most recognized sports personality in the entire world. The former Heavyweight Champion of the World is still considered the “Greatest of All Time” in the hearts of countless Ali followers and loyalists. When he retired from the ring in 1981, his record stood at 56-5 with 37 of his victories coming by way of knockout.
This lot features an unusual albeit highly appropriate piece of signed memorabilia from the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time). Offered here is a 42-pound Everlast-branded heavy bag that Ali has signed and inscribed on one side. Personalizing it “To Ken From Muhammad Ali,” the full inscription reads: “3 time heavy weight Boxing Champion of the World and the greatest Boxer of All Times after me there will never be ANOTHER 6-20-89.” As part of the inscription, Ali has also added a boxing ring and a smiley face. The heavy bag is in great condition and measures 38” tall by 13” in diameter. Note the two accompanying photos showing Ali signing the heavy bag and posting beside it. A wonderful piece of boxing equipment signed by the greatest pugilist of all time!
